Students enrolling in the Radiological Protection Technology program must also meet the following admission requirements due to the potentially extreme nature of the working environment:
- Visually able to read and write English
- Aurally able to understand and speak English
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to climb stairs, ladders, and uneven surfaces
- Able to work in limited spaces
- Ability to wear respiratory protection equipment
Acknowledge in writing that to be employed in the Radiological Protection Industry the student must be able to pass the following types of screenings, exams, or interviews commonly performed by employers in this industry:
- Security screening/background check/credit check
- Substance abuse test
- Psychological evaluation
- Medical exam
