Financial Aid Code of Conduct for Title IV Loans

In compliance with Title 34 of the Federal Code of Regulations, Section 601.21, Fountainhead College of Technology administers and enforces a code of conduct that governs the actions of the school employees and agents in regards to educational loans, both Title IV and private. This code of conduct prohibits any conflicts of interest between the employees or agents of the school in regards to educational loans for the students of the College. Furthermore, all employees and agents of the school will be annually informed of the requirements and responsibilities that are stated in this code of conduct. The code of conduct is as follows:

Ban on Revenue-Sharing Arrangements
Fountainhead College of Technology will not enter into revenue-sharing arrangements with any lender. This entails not recommending the services of a lender that result in fees or other material benefits being received by the school or agents of the school.

Gift Ban
The financial aid staff, or any other employees or agents that have responsibilities that include federal or private loans, of Fountainhead College of Technology will not solicit or accept any gifts from lending agents, guarantors or services of federal or private loans. This includes gifts that are given to family members of College employees and agents that are given with the knowledge of the employee or agent or it is believed the gift was given because of the position of the employee or agent.

Contracting Arrangements Prohibited
The financial aid staff, or any other employees or agents that have responsibilities that include federal or private loans, of Fountainhead College of Technology will not solicit or accept any fee, payment or other financial benefits as compensation for consulting arrangements or other services provided to the lender of educational loans.

Interaction with Borrowers
For first-time borrowers, Fountainhead College of Technology will not assign the loan to a specific lender. Additionally, Fountainhead College of Technology will not delay or refuse to certify loans based on the borrower’s choice lender or guarantor.

Prohibition on Offers of Funds for Private Loans
Fountainhead College of Technology will not request or accept offers of funds for private education loans from a lender, in exchange for a promise to provide the lender with placement on a preferred lender list, or certain numbers of volume of private education loans.

Ban on Staffing Assistance
Fountainhead College of Technology will not request or accept financial aid staffing from any lender. Fountainhead College of Technology can receive assistance in the form of training, educational materials for borrows and temporary staffing during state or federally declared disasters.

Advisory Board Assistance
The financial aid staff, or any other employees or agents that have responsibilities that include federal or private loans, of Fountainhead College of Technology that serve on advisory boards or groups for specific lenders cannot receive anything of value, except for reasonable reimbursement for expenses incurred as a result of serving on the board or group can occur in accordance with Title 34 of the Federal Code of Regulations, Section 668.16.
