Congratulations Fall 2011 Grads!

Fountainhead Congratulates the Graduating Class of Fall 2011

Fountainhead College will recognize nearly 70 graduating students at its fall graduation ceremony on Friday, December 16, in the Fountainhead Auditorium. The graduating class, the largest one ever for the school, is comprised of students from all program areas of the college, including Network Security & Forensics, Radiological Protection, Health Information Management, Information Technology, Electronics Technology, Wireless Communications, and Computer Programming, among others.


LarsenMark Larsen, President of Firstview Online in Knoxville, will present the graduation speech. Mr. Larsen’s company specializes in helping companies compete on the web. His company provides web design, search engine marketing and optimization, online advertising and social media services.


Fountainhead College wishes our graduates the best as they begin this new chapter in their careers. We are proud that in our 64-years as an institution of higher education, our graduates continue to have a unique and positive impact on nearly every technology-related industry in the region.

Medic Blood Drive

Fountainhead College will host a Medic Blood Drive on Thursday, November 10, from 10:00 to 5:00 in the Fountainhead Auditorium.

Giving blood supports the well-being of our community and provides a safe and economical blood supply for people in need. Giving blood takes only 15 minutes and helps those in need. Giving one donation a year also exempts you and your dependents from paying blood processing fees if you need a blood transfusion.

Time slots are available from 10:30 – 4:45 pm. Call now or drop by Fountainhead College's lobby to sign up.

NSA "SEAL" to visit Fountainhead

NSANational Security Agency "SEAL" to speak to Fountainhead students

The National Security Agency's chief of the Cryptographic Control Division will visit Fountainhead College of Technology on September 29 in the Fountainhead Auditorium from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. An informal dessert social will take place from 5:00-6:00 for students, employers, and the public to meet and visit with our distinguished guest.

Pamela L. Lougee, who is also NSA's academic liaison or "SEAL" with Fountainhead College, will present "Your Career at the National Security Agency." Ms. Lougee will discuss career opportunities, scholarships, internships and employment that exist at the NSA. She will also address NSA's top concerns, which include protecting America from cyber criminals and hackers, the use of "signals intelligence" to intercept and exploit foreign signals, and information assurance, which is the critically important role of protecting national security information and information systems.

Military-Friendly School Honor

Once again, Fountainhead College of Technology has been honored as a Military Friendly School for 2012 and ranks among the top 15% of all colleges, universities and trade schools which are doing the most to embrace America's veterans as students, as reported by G.I. Jobs which released its 2012 Military Friendly School List.

As a 2012 Military Friendly School, Fountainhead College satisfied G.I. Jobs' exhaustive criteria that included factors such as academic accreditation, the success of outreach to veterans, programs, and efforts to retain military and veteran students and additional benefits that reflect veteran programs, credit for service, military spouses and more.

Student Video Interviews

APSCUFountainhead students interviewed by APSCU

Interviews of six Fountainhead College students are now viewable on Fountainhead's Media Blog. Last spring, APSCU interviewed students and asked them about their backgrounds and motivations for attending a private, non-traditional school. Their stories have been published on APSCU's YouTube channel and can also be viewed from the Media Blog on Fountainhead's website.

CyberSecurity Summit October 12-13

CyberSecurityThe ETCSS Committee proudly presents the 7th Annual East Tennessee CyberSecurity Summit to be held in beautiful downtown Knoxville, October 12-13.

In a year filled with breaches, persistent attacks, complex malware and "hacktivism," we look to bring our attendees presentations and technical breakout sessions that provide information, techniques and tools to prepare them to make the best possible decisions to protect their data and systems. We also provide speakers and breakout sessions that will add value to the conference and your education, as well as new opportunities to expand your professional network.

The conference is co-hosted this year by the FBI, UT, Fountainhead College of Technology, TVA, TVA-OIG, and ORNL. Attending this year's conference will be InfraGard chapter members, IT professionals in academia, government, law, and private industry from across the region, including Atlanta, Nashville, Columbia, and the Raleigh/Durham area.
