What is Information Technology?
Information technology is the applied science of managing, distributing, transferring and securing information. This means using computers and computer networks to make information available at a moments notice to fellow users, company personnel, or a national or even worldwide network.
Why should I pursue a career in Information Technology?
Computer networks have become a basic component of business over the last few years. Each of these business networks is made up of several to several hundred computers, each containing many documents, files, images, and more. Companies use network systems technicians to help upgrade computer systems and develop wide area and local area network capabilities on order to keep vital company information accessible.
