AM301 Applied Math for Technicians I

1.5 Semester Credit Hours

This course presents mathematics using applications specific to the electronics field. The topics covered include exponents and roots, transposition of formulas, ratios and proportions, graphs, percentages, tolerances, the use of trigonometric functions and plane vectors for AC circuit analysis. Exercises are based on real-world values and consist of problems that are typically encountered by electronic technicians. Course contains 1 semester credit hours (15 clock hours) of lecture and 0.5 semester credit hour (15 clock hours) of laboratory work.
