CF302 Microprocessors and Microcomputers

3 Semester Credit Hours

This course provides an understanding of microprocessor architecture, instruction sets and operation. Students will write short routines and programs to better understand the operation of the microprocessor.  The course concludes with an understanding of the basic microcomputer system, including bus, memory and I/O subsystems. Lab projects are assigned to enhance understanding of microprocessors. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work.
