In this course students will gain an understanding of SQL programming basics. Basic SQL commands are presented in a business context using MySQL, Microsoft Access and SQL Server. Real-world case studies provide the background for the development of SQL skills. Major topics include; An introduction to SQL, creating single-table queries, creating multiple-table queries, updating data, database administration, generating reports and embedded SQL. Prereq. PM205. Labs consist of assigned practice, projects and/or case studies relating to topics covered. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work.
