3 Semester Credit Hours
This course is designed to provide an understanding of the amplifier and oscillator circuits used in stereo and other sound-creating and/or -amplifying equipment. Included are circuit and system analysis of biasing techniques and coupling methods, signal flow, signal tracing and troubleshooting techniques. Labs pertaining to sound-producing and/or sound-amplifying systems are assigned. Prereq. First Semester ET. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work.
