EWC402 IEEE 802 Site Survey

The key to a successful wireless network deployment is ensuring the wireless signal is conspicuous. This course teaches the student that each location has unique needs that must be taken into account. Topics covered include multi-path mitigation, reflection, absorption, and radio wave interference. User application and demand, physical obstacles and other service obstacles are identified. Wireless equipment installation processes, including rules, regulations, and best practices are also explained. Labs consist of assigned practice, projects and/or case studies relating to topics covered. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work. Prerequisite: BC204
