3 Semester Credit Hours
This second PLC course continues developing an understanding of the PLC. Presented are practical control applications of monitoring and controlling using the PLC. Sensors, transducers, actuators, thyristors, op-amp circuits and controllers are discussed in conjunction with PLC monitor and control systems. Lab projects are assigned to provide experience using the PLC. Allen-Bradley Micro-logic software is used for the PLC courses. Prereq. IE302. Course contains 30 clock hours of lecture (2 semester credit hours) and 30 clock hours of lab (1 semester credit hour).
