NSF409 Cryptography

3 Semester Credit Hours

This course is designed to introduce students to the basics of cryptography and the practical application in software, hardware and communication protocols. The class features evaluation of different encryption technology and hands-on labs and exercises. The fundamentals and application of cryptography methods are introduced. Labs consist of assigned practice, projects and/or case studies relating to topics covered. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work. Prerequisites: BC205, BC206, BC204
