This course teaches regulations and standards related to safe nuclear operations at Department of Energy facilities and nuclear power plants. Topics include Nuclear Facility Requirements, Nuclear Worker Criminal/Civil Liability, Shipment and Receipt of Radioactive Material, and Decontamination and Decommissioning. Prereq: None. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work.
