OS304 Linux Integration

3 Semester Credit Hours

After installing SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server, students will learn to configure a DNS server, use DHCP to manage networks, manage OpenLDAP, configure a mail server, use OpenSLP, and monitor network traffic.  At the end of classroom instruction, students will be challenged (and should be able) to perform various scenarios based on business requirements similar to those in a production environment. Labs consist of assigned practice, projects and/or case studies relating to topics covered. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work. Prerequisite: OS303
