The discipline of organizing and managing the resources, time, money and scope of project is known as project management. Students will enhance their management skills by learning to demonstrate effective goal setting strategies, to manage project schedules and to complete the project management process. Software tools such as Microsoft Project® may be used to augment building professional charts and diagrams, presenting information in various formats, controlling finances through costing and monitoring project progress. Labs consist of assigned practice, projects and/or case studies relating to topics covered. Course contains 2 semester credit hours (30 clock hours) of lecture and 1 semester credit hour (30 clock hours) of laboratory work.
